James performed a home inspection for a client of mine. First time using Up Close Inspections and I can say confidently, it will not be the last! James was phenomenal. From his very prompt and friendly scheduling, to his services and knowledge at the home, James gave 10/10!!! They are flexible with payment, giving customers a few options. They make it convenient for any buyer. He stood out to me from other inspectors I've worked with in the past and that's what I liked a lot about him, too. He brought branded coffee mugs for me and my client. Lots of homes we work in are vacant, and he brought a fold out chair for me to sit in! So considerate. He took time to explain things and break them down to my client, which I know he appreciated that a lot. His inspection report was very easy to understand. I liked how it had the summary at the top which included minor/diy repairs in green, moderate repairs & defects in yellow and serious/professional needed repairs & defects in red. Included was a Repair Request list that made my job SO MUCH easier to ask the seller for repairs. I could write a million rave reviews on James and Up Close, but I'll save myself and you, the time and instead I'll say, "Just call him for your next inspection!!!" so you can see for yourself.

James communication, attention to detail, thoroughness, promptness, and friendly demeanor was so reassuring as we had our new build inspected. My husband was hesitant in thinking it was a new build it would be fine and didn't want closing delayed. We both were floored with his level of an inspection, we are used to quick inspections maybe 2 hours. He took his time, had extra equipment, kept everything clean, and talked us through everything and is even following up with his drone due to weather for the roof. I also didn't realize the importance of a pre drywall inspection until it was too late, but he took a look at blueprints and a video of my pre drywall walkthrough that I shared with him. He is also very dedicated for the long haul and willing to follow up with not only you, but the builder as well, which makes the whole process feel less intimidating if you have any issues-big or small. 12/10 and two 👍👍. Although I wouldn't want him at a house I'm trying to sell, only one I'm buying 🤣!

We are so fortunate to have had James as our home inspector! He was extremely thorough in checking over the house we were considering purchasing. He uses many tools to enhance the visual inspection including a drone for the roof, voltage tester, infrared camera and others. He provided a very complete and easy to read report and did a call with us to go over it since we could not be present at the inspection. In the end, we did not end up purchasing the home because of some significant findings that came out in the report. We are extremely grateful to have had James’ detailed information to help us make a decision that could have otherwise cost us a significant amount of money if we had bought the home!

Way to go James looked over the house as if it was his own home every nook and cranny with a keen eye. I went with the sewer scope, pest and home inspection really reasonably priced also came with book with how long appliances last as well as tips also sent a very detailed inspection report with color coded difficulty grade if your thinking about getting your home inspected for purchase or even if your having a thought about your current home James is probably one of the best options !
